Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We are at 41861 Acacia Avenue right off of Acacia and Stanford.

Where do I park?

We have five parking lots available to us on Sundays.

Two bigger lots to the left of the church in the VIP Tots parking lot and the Little Lake Elementary School parking lot, one little lot directly to the left of the church for handicap parking, and one to the right of the church in the dirt lot. The parking lot directly across the street is available as well. Not to mention, there is also plenty of street parking.

What should I wear?

We are a super casual church, so wear whatever you'd like!

Is there something for my kids?

We are currently working on launching a kid's ministry in the near future, but for now kids of all ages are welcome to join their parents in the main service.

What is a typical Sunday service like?

Services are a little less than an hour long.

When service begins, you will hear chimes play. There will be a time of announcements followed by a call to worship where our liturgist leads the people in a call and response to begin our time in worship together. Then we have several hymns followed by a 15-20 minute sermon (yes, our sermons are short and sweet here). After the sermon, there is another hymn followed by a time of prayer together where everyone gets a chance to share their joys and concerns. After prayer is one final hymn and a final positive affirmation, or benediction, from the Pastor. Then after service everyone is welcome to either head out or join us in our fellowship hall for a meal and fellowship.

Are you LGBTQ+ Affirming?

Yes! We are 100% LGBTQ+ Affirming at Pilgrim Congregational Church. This means that LGBTQ+ individuals can be ordained to the ministry, have their wedding officiated, and serve in all areas of leadership!

What does it mean that you're a Congregational Church?

Congregational churches are run by the congregation. In other words, being a Congregational Church means that decisions are made democratically by the members of the church. So becoming a member of the church allows you to vote for big decisions. Being a Congregational Church also means we have a long history of pursuing justice in the world.
